Peter and Molly
Peter and Molly have dedicated over 30 years to Wycliffe Bible Translators—a shared calling that began after they met as pen pals 38 years ago. Today, Peter serves as the Director of International Risk Management utilizing a bi-vocational, 'tent-making' approach. After homeschooling their children for over two decades, Molly now enjoys mentoring Ethan through his studies at Dallas Baptist University. Ethan brings an exceptionally warm, outgoing personality to the retreat and genuinely loves meeting new people. Born with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), Ethan continues to live life to its absolute fullest, serving as a wonderful inspiration and blessing to our family.
Thirty Years of Serving, One Home at a Time
Our family spent thirty years serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators before we opened Ethan’s Retreat. Nine years ago, we began hosting on Airbnb as a way to support our growing family while we continued that same non-profit work — a kind of tentmaking.
Hospitality and serving others have always been part of our family's ethos, and this retreat grew naturally out of that calling. We carry both grief and gratitude, honoring our son David while walking beside Ethan with NF1. Every suite is prepared for one guest, with prayerful care, so that you can rest, meet with the Lord, and leave strengthened for the next step He sets before you.
David's Memory
David's memory continues inspiring our family through faith, love, and kindness. We invite you to learn how his life remains a meaningful part of Ethan’s Retreat.
